A vibrant Caribbean-themed charity lunch, hosted by The Highgate Lodge No 1366’s Worshipful Master Aaron Goshine, has raised over £2,500 for the Friday Hill Food Rescue charity in Chingford.

The event, attended by Freemasons and their families and friends, blended fellowship, fine food, and philanthropy in celebration of community spirit.

Held as part of Aaron’s year in office, the afternoon featured generous donations from the Brethren alongside the auctioning of several original paintings by the Master himself, a practising watercolour artist. The funds will directly support the food bank’s vital work in aiding local families facing hardship.

“The response was humbling,” said Aaron. “This was more than a meal – it was a reminder of how unity, creativity, and care can feed both stomachs and souls.”

Friday Hill Food Rescue operates weekly in Chingford, offering essential support to those in need. This contribution ensures the continuation of their work in a time of growing demand.
